Care portfolio boosted with ninth acquisition

A residential care home in Shropshire has been acquired by My Choice Healthcare for an undisclosed price, marking the group’s ninth care home.

Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co completed the sale of Alexandra House, led by James Buist-Brealey.

Alexandra House, which holds a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC, is a care home registered to accommodate up to 22 elderly residents across 20 bedrooms.

It also has planning permission to add 12 more bedrooms.

Bethan Evans, CEO at My Choice Healthcare, said: “We were delighted to work with James to acquire Alexandra House which is My Choice Healthcare’s second care home in the Midlands. We are looking to build upon its previous successes; continuing to place residents at the centre of our care and support delivery.”

James Buist-Brealey, senior business agent at Christie & Co, said: “It was a pleasure to be part of the sale process of Alexandra House. I wish the best of luck to My Choice Healthcare who I am confident will continue the success of the previous owners. We are continuing to see strong demand within the care sector with the sale of Alexandra House highlighting this also.”
