Property Lunch: Hear from property trailblazer – Maggie Grogan
Discover the future of urban regeneration with Maggie Grogan, Managing Director at Muse, as she shares her insights on leading some of the Midlands’ most significant redevelopment projects on Nov 21st, at Fazenda.
In less than three years Grogan has risen through the ranks, blazing a trail for women in property and becoming the first female regional Managing Director at Muse, delivering the company vision to create new places across the Midlands.
After launching Muse’s Midlands office in 2022, Grogan secured a deal for the developer to be appointed as the regeneration partner for the £3.2bn Arden Cross development.
The mixed-use project will include the delivery of 3,000 new homes, 6 million sq ft of employment space, and the creation of around 27,000 jobs. The 346-acre site will feature sustainable transport, public green spaces, and access to local nature. In partnership with University Hospitals Birmingham and the University of Warwick, the project will also explore establishing a cutting-edge Medical & Technology Campus to drive innovation in healthcare and technology.
Grogan has also led a ground-breaking deal between the English Cities Fund – a partnership between Muse, Homes England, and Legal & General – and the City of Wolverhampton Council to regenerate City Centre West, one of Wolverhampton’s most important projects.
Muse is working with Solihull Council and other partners to deliver the transformation of Mell Square. The site has been identified as a key part of the Council’s Town Centre Masterplan.
The regeneration will deliver new public and leisure spaces, as well as new homes – as part of a new mixed-use neighbourhood. A “significant” number of new jobs, training, and economic opportunities will also be created.
