Gas fittings firm expands and other new property lettings

BES, a supplier of gas and plumbing fittings, is expanding its operations in Birmingham by leasing a 77,317 sq ft warehouse on the Junction 6 Industrial Park.
The company is doubling its operations on the Aston park by moving from two separate units to Unit 12 on a 10-year lease for an undisclosed rent.
The 25-acre estate is owned by M&G Property Portfolio and managed by PRUPIM while the unit was let by consultancies Lambert Smith Hampton and Cushman and Wakefield.
BES has been in businesses for more than 30 years and supplies plumbing, gas, central heating and air conditioning components.
It joins existing tenants Manganese Bronze Property Holdings and Nobel Automotive (UK) among others.
In other lettings news, entrepreneurs Robert Herdman and Luke Hensey have taken 1,200 sq ft at Segro’s Kings Norton Business Centre, in Birmingham, for their blossoming plant business H2Grow.
The business offers advice and equipment for gardening such as solar panelled feeding systems, lighting and ventilation to irrigation and nutrients. Lease length and rent are undisclosed.
Finally, flexible office provider Orega is taking an additional 7,500 sq ft of office space at Colmore Plaza, in Birmingham, as part of its joint venture management agreement with the building’s owner The Carlyle Group
Orega already occupies 10,000 sq ft of space in the tower, which is now fully occupied, but it says continued demand has prompted it to expand with the aim of providing a further 113 workstations.
IT recruitment firm Applause IT has signed up to take eight workstations for two years in the second phase once refurbishment work on the mezzanine floor has been completed.
