Contract wins facilitate office move for Singleton

FACILITATE Urban – the property consultancy launched by former Birmingham city council regen chief Philip Singleton – has set up a new home on the back of two contract wins.

The firm has been signed up to help Birmingham Hippodrome theatre and the city’s Millennium Point explore future development opportunities.

“At Millennium Point, we are exploring ideas as to how the building responds to future development and business opportunities in the area,” he told TheBusinessDesk.com.

“Birmingham City University, city council offices and student accommodation is all going up in Eastside, it’s an area where things are finally happening.

“At the Hippodrome, we’re working on a business plan for future opportunities as to how the building may develop over the next few years. It’s nice to be involved at this early stage in the proceedings.”

In addition, Mr Singleton has moved this week to an office at 1 St Paul’s Square, in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, having worked in his flat since launch in February. He has also established an office base in Waterloo Place, London.

“These two contracts have enabled me to take the next step forward with the business – it’s going well and I wanted to get a bit more established with a business address.”
