Warehouse unit sold in £4m deal

A WAREHOUSE unit on a north Birmingham business park has been sold for £4m.

The 37,738 sq ft unit, on Opus Aspect in Erdington, has been bought by Hilltop Properties from Henley-based private developer Opus Land.

The unit, which has just been completed and handed over by Opus Land, is pre-let on a 20-year lease to Selco Trade Centres which is currently moving in.

The scheme is being developed with the support of the Palmer Capital Development Fund II.

Mark Rooke, investment director of BNP Paribas Real Estate, acted for Hilltop Properties while Opus Land was represented by GVA. Joint letting agents are GVA and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Development director Gareth Williams said: “We are delighted to have pre-let, completed and sold this building within such a short timeframe.

“Despite the economic climate, progress on site has not only raised the profile of the park but has also stimulated interest from further trade counter operators as well as car dealerships in the region.

“We look forward to announcing further pre-lets in the near future.”
