Bourne gets Solihull station car park nod

BOURNE Parking has won a £1.5m contract from Chiltern Railways to build a decked car park at Solihull train station.
The firm, a subsidiary of Poole, Dorset-headquartered Bourne Construction, will design and construct the structure to accommodate 187 suspended car parking spaces, taking the total to 455 spaces for station use.
The project involves the construction of a steel frame Montex car parking deck structure and the redesign of the surface car parking area. It is scheduled to be complete by the end of April and will be built in a series of phases to allow Chiltern Railways to maintain the maximum number of car parking spaces throughout the build period.
