Staffordshire software supplier expands with new acquisition

STAFFORDSHIRE software firm HTC Solutions has expanded with the acquisition of a county-based rival.
HTC, which is located in Newcastle-under-Lyme, has acquired Stafford-based CS Electronics Ltd in an undisclosed deal advised on by North West accountancy firm CLB Coopers.
HTC is the developer of the Haultech software solution used across the haulage, logistics and distribution industry. Its acquisition of CS Electronics, a market leading vehicle tracking and telematics provider, will see the enhancement of the HaulTech brand, under which CS Electronics will operate as HaulTech TrakMan.
Geoff Brook, managing director of HTC Solutions, said: “As the HaulTech brand continues to develop and gain market share it is essential for us to add more products and services to our offering and the acquisition of HaulTech TrakMan is a major step towards our goal of offering a fully integrated portfolio of products to the transport industry.
“By adding tracking, vehicle telematics, driver hours reporting, navigation and messaging solutions to the HaulTech brand we are uniquely positioned to offer new and existing customers a comprehensive one-stop-shop for all their asset management system requirements.”
Steven Lindsay, a corporate finance partner at CLB Coopers, who led the deal, said: “HTC’s acquisition of CS Electronics is an important and significant move for the business. Being able to provide a full asset management service means that the business will continue to enjoy the growth and development that they have been experiencing over recent years.”
