Projex sees workload double after merger

HENLEY and Birmingham property management consultancy Projex is celebrating a number of contract wins that have doubled the size of its portfolio over the last 12 months.
Projex, which also has an office in Leeds merged with Warwickshire-based construction cost consultancy Keane Consult last year, and is now on site with projects valued at more than £60m.
Following recent contract wins valued at almost £90m, the total value of live projects has risen to more than £150m over the past year, the company said.
Notable wins include a new £40m mixed-use scheme in Northamptonshire for retail investment specialist LXB and a £23m leisure instruction in London.
Partner Phil Tomalin said: “In a difficult economic climate, clients need joined up thinking to help them get anything off the ground and we can supply an overall package, from initial due diligence with detailed costs rather than estimates, through to building surveys and entire project management.
“As an independent practice, Projex combines extensive experience at very senior levels and a can do hands on that clients really value, whatever size the project.”
Projex recently handed over a new 5,000 sq ft club house to Harrogate Railway Football Club following completion of phase one of a £5m development which will also see a new national centre of excellence for dementia care being built on land formerly owned by the club at its Station View ground in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Work will now start on phase two of the development the new specialist dementia centre, to be known as Vida Hall, which will create 70 new jobs when it opens in December.
Projex is also advising Gregory Property Group on its £35m Broad Street Plaza scheme in Halifax.
