SANTANDER Corporate Banking in the West Midlands has provided a funding package to plumbing specialist Davidson Holdings, allowing it to acquire Talon Manufacturing.
The purchase adds to and complements Reading-based Davidson’s existing brands. The group specialises in plumbing and water management in both domestic and commercial use. The company owns the Cistermiser, Keraflo, Combimate and FuelStop brands as well as Salamander Shower Pumps.
Gillingham-based Talon, which manufactures and distributes pipe clips and covers, is Davidson’s fifth acquisition since it was established in 2004.
Geoffrey Gestetner, director of Davidson, said: “We are delighted with the acquisition of Talon – a company that perfectly complements our range of brands, products and services.”
Sally Beavan, relationship director at Santander Corporate Banking, said: “Davidson is an existing customer with whom we have a very close working relationship, and we are delighted to be supporting in this next stage of its growth.
“Talon Manufacturing is a great fit for the group, and we are sure that with Davidson’s strong management team and previous experience of acquisitive growth, they will make a great success of this new venture.”
Details of the funding package and the cost of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
