Birmingham Chamber launches joint networking event

BIRMINGHAM Chamber of Commerce Group is to hold a joint networking and exhibition event with its colleagues in South Staffordshire.
It is the first time such an event has taken place since the South Staffordshire Chambers – Cannock Chase, Lichfield, Tamworth and Burton – merged with the Birmingham and Solihull Chamber of Commerce in 2010.
The Chamber Group Expo 2012, which is free to both members and non-members, takes place at Drayton Manor Theme Park on August 17.
The networking event aims to help chamber members win new business opportunities by marketing their services to a wider area.
BCCG said members would have the opportunity to take an exhibition stand. There will also be a number of free to attend seminars throughout the day including one by international speaker, bestselling author and broadcaster, Peter Roper, who will be guiding businesses on how best to present themselves when networking and how to remain memorable.
Shaun Thomson, CEO of Sandler Training UK, will be telling businesses how to differentiate themselves from the competition and Martina Irwin, of Aims Direct, will have a plain English guide to QR codes which use a barcode that can be read by mobile devices.
