Full sign up at St Modwen’s Worcester business park

DEVELOPER St Modwen has achieved 100% occupancy at its Great Western Business Park in Worcester after securing long-term leases with companies in the automotive and engineering consultancy fields.

Euro Car Parts, the UK’s largest supplier of parts for cars and light commercial vehicles, has committed to a 5,666 sq ft unit on a ten year lease. A total of 25 new jobs will be created at the branch which is opening as part of the company’s rapid expansion.

And Materials Solutions, which specialises in advanced materials for aerospace and counts Rolls Royce amongst its blue chip clients, has taken on another 8,533 sq ft unit on a 12 year lease.

It already had 7,200 sq ft at Great Western Business Park but the firm’s sales have trebled over the last three years and it needs more space to accommodate the growth.

Carl Brancher, its chief executive officer, said: “Our new unit has enabled us to double in physical size. We are pleased that St. Modwen has been able to accommodate our business growth within our existing location, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.”

Jonathan Green, development surveyor at Birmingham-based St Modwen, said: “We are very pleased that Euro Car Parts and Materials Solutions have completed our line-up of successful tenants at Great Western Business Park and that new jobs will be generated.

“The site has always been in demand with high profile occupiers thanks to the high quality of the units and its prime location which offers the ideal base from which to reach both local and wider transport networks.”

The two deals mean that no units remain for sale or lease at the park. However, St Modwen has a development plot of seven acres that is suitable for industrial and warehouse schemes.
