Hams Hall warehouse unit let to global logistics group in undisclosed deal

BNP Paribas Real Estate, on behalf of AXA Real Estate, has let a 45,555ft² detached warehouse/distribution unit at the Hams Hall Distribution Park, Birmingham to logistics group UTI Worldwide (UK) Ltd in an undisclosed deal.

AXA Real Estate manages the Hams Hall Distribution Park on behalf of the AXA UK Pension Trustees Corporation fund.

UTI Worldwide has secured the facility on a 10-year lease with a five-year break clause.

Peter Monks, of BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: “Due to the lack of similar product on the market we received strong interest in this facility, enabling us to complete this letting in a relatively short period of time.”

John Sambrookes of DTZ acted for UTI.

The 430-acre Hams Hall Distribution Park is located on the site of the former Hams Hall Power Station site. The park is home to companies including E.ON, Sainsbury’s, DHL, ABB Group and Wincanton. It is also home to BMW’s engine plant.

The park also benefits from an onsite rail freight terminal run by ABP Connect. The terminal provides full links into France, Germany and Northern Italy, as well as handling domestic traffic to Scotland and East Coast ports.
