New promotions for Core
BIRMINGHAM full service PR and marketing agency, Core has announced a series of promotions.
Emily Drane, from the company’s marketing team has been appointed Senior Account Executive, while in-house designer James McMullan is now Head of Creative.
McMullan, who joined Core in 2004, will oversee all of the creative elements delivered by Core both internally and externally, from interior design to brochures, websites and bespoke marketing collateral.
During his time at Core, he has won several awards for his campaigns, notably for his work on Brindleyplace and a number of residential schemes, and the firm said his ability to create fresh, impactful work had been key in the development of his role.
Ms Drane joined Core in 2011, having completed her degree at the University of Birmingham and has undergone career development at the firm demonstrating her creativity, enthusiasm and high level of work.
Core’s managing director, Juliet Collings, said: “Core’s reputation is based on the quality of our work and our ability to deliver on time and within budget and both Emily and James have demonstrated their hard work and commitment in ensuring that we continue to attain these standards.
“Since she joined us two years ago, Emily has brought bags of energy and creativity to the role. Her great working relationships with the other teams in the business ensure that she consistently produces coordinated, effective communications campaigns and has established herself as a key member of the Core team.
“James’s new role is vital in ensuring that we fully explore all areas of visual communications and are ready to meet the changing demands of an evolving digital sector, adding yet another string to our bow and enhancing our overall full-service approach.”
Micromedia strengthens marketing team
WARWICKSHIRE digital marketing agency, Miromedia.co.uk has appointed two new marketing professionals.
Dean Ronnie, left, has joined the Kenilworth firm’s content marketing team. He has over five years’ experience in copywriting with a strong emphasis on writing for the web. His previous roles include copywriting for Barclaycard and outdoor retailer, Blacks
Michelle Hughes has joined as Marketing Manager and will be promoting Miromedia’s web development and SEO services to SMEs around the West Midlands. She was previously Head of Digital at Pertemps and before that spent seven years heading up digital communications for OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations)
Director, Mike Quinn, said: “We are delighted to welcome Michelle and Dean to the team here as part of our expansion plans. As the shift in digital marketing moves to a content based strategy their roles will be vital in developing our own presence and that of our clients.”
Superdream charts further growth after busy first year
WEST Midlands based advertising agency, Superdream, has celebrated its first birthday. The firm was set up following the merger of two branding/online marketing agencies, B1 and Bird & Co.
The first 12 months has seen the agency successfully grow turnover by almost £1m, as well as create 13 new jobs. Its plans for the next 12 months involve further expansion and new roles.
It is hoping to take on another 12 staff following several major new business wins.
The agency celebrated its first year in business with a party at its head office attended by clients and staff. Clients are drawn from the manufacturing, retail, professional services and care sectors.
Superdream managing director Jason Manning said: “We are proud to be flying in the face of recession and making plans for expansion as well as taking on new staff. We believe they are our greatest strength – and we’d like to thank them for making sure that this year has been such a success.
“We are looking to add new team members across creative, online and web development departments to work on our new and existing clients.”
