Kings Heath BID helps Tiger Ban earn its stripes

BIRMINGHAM creative agency Tiger Bam Communications has been selected to support Kings Heath Business Improvement District in promoting its strategy.

Tiger Bam will also implement a digital strategy to help boost trading for the 320 businesses the BID represents.

Kate Smart, Kings Heath Town Centre Manager, said the BID’s aim was to promote the suburb to a local, regional and national audience.

“It’s important that the diversity of Kings Heath is promoted locally, regionally and nationally and we are confident we’ve found the right PR agency to achieve that,” she said.

“We are excited to be working with home-grown talent. We are confident they (Tiger Bam) will help us deliver the ambitious programme of activity we have planned ahead.”

Since its launch in 2010 Tiger Bam Communications, based at The Custard Factory in Digbeth, has seen steady growth in clients. The agency currently represents a variety of Birmingham-based clients, including the Birmingham St Patrick’s Parade and Festival and Birmingham’s World music and cultural exchange Brum Spirit.

New faces at Gough Bailey Wright

From left: Georgina Curtis-Iddiols, Jason James and David Rowberry, all GBWFULL-SERVICE marketing agency, Gough Bailey Wright (GBW), has welcomed three new faces to its team following expansion in three key departments.

The expansion follows a series of new business wins and the growth of existing accounts.

Jason James (centre) has been appointed to the digital marketing team to work on digital strategies, website development, email marketing, search engine optimisation and online advertising.

Media and journalism graduate Georgina Curtis-Iddiols has become the newest member of GBW’s specialist public and community affairs department.

The unique arm of the Bromsgrove-based agency assists developers with consultations, political liaison and community engagement in planning and construction.

Creative artworker David Rowberry brings a wealth of experience to the agency, gained during 11 years in design studios and in-house roles. His focus will be on consumer and trade advertising campaigns, corporate branding and the development of marketing materials as he meets his client brief to creatively engage and inspire audiences.

Managing director Sue Bailey said: “The agency has grown significantly and our expanding client base is testament to the quality of our work and industry reputation.

“The recruitment of high calibre employees is therefore very important and we are delighted to welcome Jason, Georgina and David to the team.”

Clarity shortlised for four PRide Awards

Lucy Kemp and Jason Navon, founders, Clarity Comms BIRMINGHAM social media agency Clarity Comms has been shortlisted for four industry awards, after entering a contest designed to highlight creative talent in the Midlands.

The young agency has been nominated in four categories of this year’s Midlands PRide Awards – Outstanding Small Consultancy, Best Social Media Campaign and Best Low Budget Campaign.

Jason Navon, director and co-founder at Clarity, said: “Our USP is our focus on clients’ audiences and communications campaigns that deliver real returns for brand . A lot has changed in the world of PR – digital technology, social media, and tighter budgets mean that we have to be more agile and creative than ever before. We’re delighted to be recognised for our efforts by the country’s leading PR organisation.”

Clarity, established in April 2013, by Lucy Kemp (pictured left) and Jason Navon (right), recently won a series of new business pitches, adding Marston’s Jennings Brewery to its portfolio – a win that came directly from the agency’s work on leading ale brand Hobgoblin.

Other clients include events company mclcreate, Birmingham app payment firm Droplet and Indian wedding planner and restaurant, Itihaas.

This year’s CIPR Midlands PRide Awards take place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on November 14.
