Encription relocates training to National Cyber Skills Centre

WORCESTERSHIRE cyber security company Encription has opted to move its training facilities to the National Cyber Skills Centre in Malvern.

Encription, which is based in Kidderminster, is moving its Cyber Scheme Team Member course and its Encription Verified courses to the NCSC, based in the Malvern Hills Science Park, in response to a growth in the number of mainstream IT professionals re-skilling to meet the current demand in appropriately qualified and trained IT Security professionals.

Encription offers a range of IT security, penetration testing and digital forensic courses, which target both technical and management staff.

Debbie Tunstall, NCSC centre manager, said: “The NCSC not only provides a larger and more tailored training environment, it also places candidates within reach of many of the Cyber SMEs operating in the Malvern Cyber Valley, such as 3SDL, Borwell, Deep Secure, QinetiQ, Tru Data Integrity and many others.

“This collaboration is seen as the starting point for many new initiatives that will see the NCSC become the one-stop shop for cyber related training, consultancy and knowledge transfer opportunities.”

The Cyber Scheme Team Member (CSTM) qualification provides an entry point into the security and penetration testing industry, or for those in the industry to gain recognition for their current skill set and experience.

The course is designed to teach people new skills and also consolidate current skills and experience into a CESG recognised qualification.
