Dairy products firm looks to milk benefits from Yorkshire acquisition

A BLACK Country dairy products firm has bought an East Yorkshire depot as it expands its services to customers in the North of England and Scotland.

Halesowen-based Central Supplies has taken over Littletown Farm, a distributor of chilled and other food products based in Goole, for an undisclosed sum.

Sean Trow, commercial director at Central Supplies, said: “The depot in Goole will enable us to further develop our sales to customers in the north of England and Scotland.

“The proximity of the depot will in addition allow us to improve on service levels and drive down distribution costs in order to make us even more competitive.”

Central Supplies (Brierley Hill) is a £28m-turnover producer and distributor of dairy products which was founded in 1988.

A corporate team at George Green LLP, led by partner Philip Round, advised Central Supplies.

Mr Round added: “This is the second acquisition made by Central Supplies in the last 12 months as they continue to grow their impressive product range and distribution service.”
