SDL Bigwood secures North West management contract

PROPERTY group SDL Bigwood has won a contract to provide lettings and management services for a private rental provider.
The 4.7 acre Roch Bank estate in Rochdale is the result of a major collaboration between Sigma Capital, house builder Countryside Properties and Rochdale Borough Council.
The parties are collaborating on a venture to regenerate the site, part of a scheme which is transforming a previously derelict industrial mill site into one that can sustain 61 new homes.
The scheme forms part of a major funding arrangement with Gatehouse Bank, a Shariah compliant investment bank based in London.
Sigma is promoting the scheme under the DifRent brand, which provides new homes exclusively for rent.
SDL Bigwood director Paul Staley, who is responsible for driving the firm’s growth in the private rented sector, said: “The DifRent Roch Bank development is bringing something new to Rochdale and we are delighted to be involved in the scheme as it is not only providing much needed high quality rental homes to the area but creating a community.
“We have already had a great deal of interest in the new homes with a number of residents ready to move in and I believe the remaining homes will hugely popular and will be snapped up quickly.”
