All smiles as dental surgery changes hands in new funding deal

A BIRMINGHAM dental practice has undergone a change of management following a new deal.

The Family Dental Centre in Great Barr has been acquired by new owners in a funding deal supported by Royal Bank of Scotland.

Dentists Dr Ranjit Chohan, Dr Ramnik Koasha and Dr Ramandeep Bains have purchased the business and now plan to focus on making improvements to the surgery to pursue its long term growth.

The new owners will undertake a comprehensive renovation of the dental practice, completely re-decorating the property and modernising its existing facilities and equipment.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Dr Ranjit Chohan said: “Family Dental Practice is a well-established surgery and we plan to modernise it and improve the facilities we can offer to our patients.

“Looking forward, we also hope to work more closely with the local community, reaching out to local children through school led initiatives to teach them the importance of dental hygiene.”

Kip Chahal, Senior Healthcare Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland said: “The vision the new owners have for Family Dental Practice is excellent and will bring the surgery back up to date.

“I am glad we have been able to support such an enthusiastic team who are not only highly skilled in providing the best dental care, but who recognise the importance of working with and educating the local community.”
