New footage released on the road to Paradise

NEW footage has been released showing progress on the redevelopment of Birmingham’s Paradise Circus.
The time lapse video marks a pivotal point in the scheme with the final clearance of the old Paradise Forum and the start of work on the first building in the new development, One Chamberlain Square.
The footage (see below), filmed last month, coincides with the first anniversary of the massive scheme, which will do so much to enhance the city’s office landscape.
The video shows the first part of the core for One Chamberlain Square being put into place. The core was assembled from pre-cast concrete sections.
This is one of the first visual markers of the new scheme and helps mark the progression of the Paradise plot from a demolition site to a construction site. It also helps to give a sense of scale to the new scheme.
The construction of the core follows the successful completion of the first phase of demolition, which opened up stunning new views of some of the city’s finest civic buildings, including the Town Hall and Council House.
One company which will be keeping a close watch on developments is PwC, which has signed up to the first tenant of One Chamberlain Square.
