Clinical support services firm launches 6,500 sq ft HQ

Clinical support services provider Interface has opened the doors to its Leeds headquarters following a £500,000 investment.

Interface’s new 6,500 sq ft headquarters in Yeadon provides increased office space to accommodate the company’s continuing expansion, larger IT facilities, and state of the art training and meeting rooms.

Interface was founded in 2004 and has grown to become the leading provider of clinical support services in the UK. It works in partnership with the NHS, where Interface pharmacists help GPs, practice managers, administrators, and commissioners manage long term conditions and improve patient care. To date Interface has worked in 3,470 primary care practices throughout the UK, helping to improve clinical outcomes for millions of patients.

As well as housing the head office of Interface Clinical Services the new building is also home to sister company Interface Clinical Research, which recruits patients and runs clinical trials in partnership with GP practices across the UK. Using its own investigators and working with GP partners Interface can access millions of patients for late phase clinical trials.

Stephen Dorrell, chairman of the NHS Confederation, officially opened the new building.

He said: “It is really encouraging to see how Interface has grown to be a significant force across the UK by helping to improve patient care, and reducing the cost of that care. This has been achieved through the partnership between GPs and their pharmacists, who have the specialist IT skills to ensure that patients are on the right medication.”

Mike Drakard, Interface’s CEO, added: “This new facility will ensure that we continue to offer our NHS clients and healthcare companies well trained pharmacists who can provide expert advice and support based on real-time data, as well as providing a home for our sister company, Interface Clinical Research.”
