New management for business centre

Keighley’s Aire Valley Business Centre is under new management by Manchester-based MCR Property Group.

The company has added the former Peter Black building to its national property portfolio and is now actively managing the historic site.

Aire Valley Business Centre, situated on Lawkholme Lane, is home to more than 30 businesses and charities, including The Valley Printing Group, R McDowell Haulage & Distributions, Phoenix Service Solutions, The Green Deal Factory and BC Sunderland Driver.

Since MCR took over management it has welcomed a number of new businesses, including AMR Office Solutions, Pay Weekly and Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support.

Meanwhile, the café within the building has recently been re-opened by local, family-run catering business, D’Vine Catering Services, which was established in 2017.

MCR Property Group’s on-site building manager Eleanor Rogers said: ‘Aire Valley Business Centre is of great significance for Keighley, with a rich history. Almost all the people we speak to have some connection to it as the former Peter Black site, so our aim is to continue creating a strong community within the centre, so that businesses feel welcome and are able to network with other occupants. We hope that with many more local businesses moving into the building, we will have a positive impact on employment in the town.”
