City centre scheme gets the green light

Plans for a 860-bed student scheme which incorporates interlinked blocks of up to 15-storeys have been given the go ahead.

The project will see 395 studio apartments, 33 two-bedroom apartments and 417‐12 bed cluster apartments, providing a total of 850 beds, being developed.

Joint venture developers Buccleuch Property and Litton Property Group will build the scheme on the former Stokes Tiles Centre site at Fitzwilliam Street in Sheffield city centre.

The scheme, which will be split into four interlinked blocks ranging up to 15 storeys, is out to tender.
