Security firm in strategic deal with US-based access specialist

Bradford-based Kings Secure Technologies has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the California-based mobile and cloud-based access control provider, Openpath.

It means Kings, which is a provider of specialist fire and security technologies, will be able to extend its product portfolio and become Openpath’s UK integrator for cloud-based access control systems.

Based on the west coast of America, Openpath’s technology allows anyone to use their mobile phone to open an authorised door with the wave of a hand, without needing their phone or app open.

Openpath says its mobile-first, cloud-based access control solution is ideal for companies as they face new demands in preparation for post lockdown return to work.

Darren Gamage, COO at Kings Secure Technologies, said: “As a fresh thinking, technology-focused business, Kings’ mission is to offer new and versatile technologies that will help future-proof our clients’ estates.

“We are already edging ourselves out ahead of the competition, and the strategic partnership between ourselves and Openpath will be another leap forward.

“The Openpath solution disrupts the access control market especially in the multi-tenanted building marketplace.”
