New office launch for commercial law practice

Commercial Law firm Square One Law has opened its new office at 1 Park Row in Leeds city centre to support a growing client base in the region.

Matthew Thompson, a Yorkshire property lawyer, who until recently headed the property team of a national firm in Leeds, joined Square One Law in March at the start of lockdown to head the Leeds office and has already secured a number of new clients and projects.

Adrian Hill, head of property at Square One Law, said: “The new premises reflect Square One Law’s commitment to having a physical base in each of our key markets as part of our hybrid approach, that allows our teams across our full-service range, to work remotely from home and in our offices – following Covid safety procedures.

“A Leeds office was an obvious next move as the property team already acts for clients such as, Muse Developments, Rushbond, Highbridge, Landid and Marrico, where we have been appointed to act on their development of the former International swimming pool site on Lisbon Street.”

The move into Leeds represents Square One Law’s latest significant expansion since it was founded in Newcastle in 2011 by a team of experienced senior lawyers.

Having established a strong brand in the North East, Square One Law went on to open its second office in Tees Valley in 2018.

“This has allowed me to focus on building my existing relationships with clients such as Glentrool Group of Companies, Highgrove Group, Quest Apartment Hotels and Allied Pharmacies as well as working with Adrian Hill and Barney Frith in the Leeds market.”
