Buoyant lettings market as estate agent moves to larger office

Two years after moving into Pudsey, Yorkshire residential sales and lettings specialist Linley & Simpson is relocating to a larger, more prominent location.

Its move from Robin Lane to the former Fulton’s Foods premises on Church Lane will see the addition of a dedicated sales division.

The company acquired a foothold in Pudsey suburb following its purchase in 2019 of the family-run firm of Flemings and its rental portfolio of more than 330 properties.

Since then its rentals portfolio has almost doubled to 650. The seven-strong Pudsey L&S team is led by senior branch manager Rebecca Taylor.

Taylor said: “Relocating to a bigger office on Pudsey’s Church Lane marks a new and exciting chapter for us, and the additional space has allowed us to bring residential sales in-house.

“This function was previously run from our North Leeds hub and I’m delighted to welcome residential sales valuer Alex Woodhouse to our team. Living locally and having previously worked in Pudsey, he knows the area well.

“The local lettings market in Pudsey is incredibly buoyant at the moment. For every new property we market, there are multiple requests for viewings, often well into double figures.

“The first six weeks of 2021 have been so busy that we have already exceeded our February target. Last year we completed more than 90 new instructions and closed on 185 rental transactions.”

In addition to Pudsey, the branch also covers Beeston, Armley and Wortley.
