Uncertain future for bakery after more than 60 years in business
An established Huddersfield-headquartered bakery has filed a notice to appoint administrators.
Hadfields The Bakery Ltd is based in Beckview Business Park, Leeds Road and supplies products such as sandwiches, bread loaves and cakes as well as a variety of other savoury foods.
The company’s total exemption full accounts made up to 31 March 2022 report that the business employed about 80 staff during 2022 – up from 75 the previous year.
According to its website, the firm has 15 shops in West Yorkshire – mostly in and around Huddersfield – and also has a wholesale operation serving businesses.
