Head office lease renewal agreed for established family-owned wholesaler

International brand wholesaler and distributor Pricecheck has signed up for another five years at its 113,839 sq ft head office and distribution centre in Beighton, near Sheffield.

Pricecheck, which was established in 1978, originally moved into the premises on Old Colliery Way in 2016.

The family-owned company, which reported a record turnover of £151m last year, distributes more than 8,000 fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) products to more than 100 countries.

It has delivered 10 years of consecutive revenue growth, most recently increasing turnover by 16 per cent on the previous financial year.

Law firm Gordons advised Pricecheck on the five-year lease renewal. The advisory team comprised commercial property partner Sarah Ratcliffe, and head of property disputes Paul Joyce.

Pricecheck joint managing director, Mark Lythe, said: “This lease renewal was far from straightforward with three parties involved, including a previous tenant from whom we were subletting the premises.

“The team at Gordons helped us navigate various issues and bring the matter to a successful conclusion within the required timeframe.”
