Haulage firm completes property deal
LOGISTICS firm Truswell Haulage has bought a 68,000 ft unit as it unites its Yorkshire operations under one roof.
The South Yorkshire firm is moving its Dodworth centre to an adjacent unit on the Fallbank Industrial Estate which will also house operations previously managed at a depot in Sheffield.
The deal was brokered by the industrial agency team at CBRE’s Sheffield office on behalf of The Co-op.
Senior director Roger Haworth said: “The accommodation at Fallbank Industrial Estate allows for Truswell to consolidate its business into what will be an environmentally friendly tailor-made facility within their current location, thus ensuring minimum disruption for the major operator and its employees.
“The extensive site offers superb potential for possible further expansion and has the external storage and parking areas required by the occupier.”
Truswell has a fleet of more than 100 vehicles and 250 trailers with additional centres in Lanarkshire and Scunthorpe.
