Leeds uni completes multi-million pound acquisition

THE University of Leeds has completed a £62.3m student accommodation acquisition.

The acquisition of phases 1 and 2 Central Village, completed in September.
 
The phases comprise 980 student rooms and have recently been developed by Downing.
 
Law firm Eversheds advised on the deal. The team was led by principal associate Tracy Gibson.
 
Gibson said: “This is a strategic acquisition which will help the university to cater for the growing demand for high quality student accommodation. We wish the university every success with this project.”
 
Dennis Hopper, director of facilities management at Leeds University added: “This is an important acquisition for the University as part of its strategy to review and improve the quality of all residences for its students.”
