New home is just the job for education recruitment specialist

A SPECIALIST in education recruitment is marking its tenth anniversary with an office move, as it plans to expand its services.

Principal Resourcing, which supplies staff and support to education providers from nursery to college level, has acquired The Avenue, an office of just over 2,700 sq ft in High Street, Hull.

The move sees the company remain in Hull’s historic Old Town and invest in a property which provides more space to drive the continuing improvement of services.

Principal launched in 2004 in Hull with a team of four and has since expanded across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, providing staff in the permanent and temporary markets and the teaching and non-teaching sectors.

The company’s growth in the provision of broader services led to the launch last month of Principal Plus, which offers expertise in areas including payroll, HR, and health and safety. The move to The Avenue will support that expansion by enabling the team at Principal to improve training facilities and procedures.

Both companies are headed by Tracy Pinkney, operations director, and Michelle Grassby, sales and marketing director.

Pinkney said: “The education sector is ever-changing, complex and challenging and, as Principal Resourcing has grown, the breadth of our knowledge and the expertise we have to offer has also developed to such an extent that we realised we can support schools in many areas other than staffing.

“The move to The Avenue will enable us to offer our portfolio of workshops and seminars to internal and external candidates as well as to other businesses.”

Paul White, agency director of commercial property agents Garness Jones, added: “Principal Resourcing is very well established across the Yorkshire and Humber region and has grown significantly over the years by competing successfully against national companies.

“It was very important for the company to remain in the heart of the city centre and we were able to find them the ideal premises close to their previous home. The Avenue is in a particularly convenient and pleasant location in the museum quarter and is also stylish and comfortable having undergone a major refurbishment.”
