£1m investment as Xercise4Less expands further

BUDGET gym operator, Xercise4Less, has invested £1m in a new North East gym.

Scheduled to open in July, the new site will be the fifth Xercise4Less gym to open in the North East in just over two years, bringing the Group’s total investment across the region to £5million.

The gym, which will span 30,000 sqft, will also give the local economy a boost by creating 40 new jobs for the people of North Shields.

Jon Wright, Xercise4Less chief executive officer, said: “The North East provides us with fantastic expansion opportunities. The demand for affordable fitness in both Tyne and Wear and North Yorkshire has increased dramatically over the last few years which has enabled us to develop our portfolio across the region.

“We already have clubs in Stockton, Newcastle and Sunderland which have all been extremely well received and I have no doubt that North Shields will be just as successful.”

Xercise4Less now has a portfolio of 26 clubs across the UK with 200,000 members and is set to launch up to 30 more clubs by the end of the year. The chain operates across the UK in regions including the North East, Yorkshire, North West and the Midlands.
