£100m framework win puts Redfern in the driving seat

TRAVEL company Redfern is continuing on the right path after winning a three-year contract with the Scottish Government which could be worth up to £100m.
The Bradford-based company provides travel management services and its business was transformed in 2012 when it beat off larger competitors to win a contract with the UK Government.
It turned over £202m in the year to March 2014, up from £42m two years earlier. Redfern’s use of technology has enabled it to deliver speedy and reliable customer service at a cost that makes it an attractive offer to public sector tendering processes.
Redfern will provide domestic travel and all one-stop-shop travel requirements across two frameworks that will be available to many of Scotland’s public sector employees.
“Winning another tender of this magnitude confirms that Redfern’s travel service is first class and offers best value to the British taxpayer,” said Redfern’s chief executive Mark Bowers.
“Redfern has continued to invest in the very latest technology and customer service. We are committed to driving out unnecessary cost and delivering innovative solutions for all our clients.
“Booking travel in a smarter way will enable employees across Scotland to buy and track travel more efficiently, helping to achieve significant cost savings.”
