Haulage firm invests in major £1.5m Sheffield depot

ROAD haulage firm C&D Express Transport have bought a 69,000 sq ft depot in Sheffield.

The deal, brokered by Leeds industrial property firm Gent Visick, was worth in the region of £1.5m.

The firm, established in 1987, specialise in the special handling of goods during road transport. They are relocating from their Boyland Street depot in their latest move.

Lee Ducker managing director of C & D Express Transport said “The acquisition of Rawson Spring Way, Sheffield is an integral part of the next phase of our expansion and increases our ability to hold more goods for our customers.”

Daniel Walker of Gent Visick said “It is always exciting to see local businesses such as C & D Express Transport expanding and the sale of this remaining element of the larger IMI holding brings the whole site back into beneficial occupation.”

Gent Visick and Howell Brooks acted for IMI Property Investments, the purchaser was unrepresented.
