Business park to be created at former Seven Seas factory

THE former Seven Seas factory in Hull is to be part-converted into a business park as the site’s new owners look to maximise its use.
Eltherington Group completed the purchase of the 11-acre site last month and has now moved forward its plans to create a 15,000 sq ft business park.
It will then occupy the rest of the site once it has moved from its current site at Dansom Lane South, which will take place in two phases next year.
Eltherington Group manufactures products in aluminium, stainless steel, other metals and PVCu for the caravan and modular buildings sector.
Antony Eltherington, group managing director, said the new site can support its expansion plans for the next 20 years.
He said: “We have nearly 200 employees and about 150 of them are involved in manufacturing. Seven Seas had a lot more office staff than we have and they’ve left us some very good facilities which they used for sales and marketing operations.
“We will never need that space and it made sense to try and get some value from it and to provide opportunities for other businesses.”
