Motor group makes £250,000 Mercedes-Benz investment

LEEDS-BASED motor business the AMT Group has invested in its chauffeur offering after buying £250,000 of specialist vehicles.

Five Mercedes-Benz V-Class Sport cars have been acquired.

AMT will be leasing them on a short-term basis.They join a fleet of vehicles for the corporate travel sector including Mercedes S Class limousines, plus E Class, Range Rover LWB, Jaguar XJ and Audi A8.

18″ alloy wheels, swivelling nappa leather armchairs and ambient lighting are some features of the MBV.

“Increasingly, we are finding that corporate and private customers are not only demanding top of the range vehicles, but also want a wider choice of types of models from prestige and sports performance cars, electric and hybrid to people carriers, MPVs, double cabs and pick-ups,” explained Neil McGawley, managing director of AMT Group.

“Luxury chauffeur driven vehicles is a buoyant market segment, particularly for airport transfers, and consequently we are continuing to invest in upgrading this part of our fleet to ensure that we can provide the very latest and most luxurious models.”

Established in 1995, AMT Group is a privately owned business employing 180 staff around the UK.
