Record year for West Yorkshire shopping centre

SHOPPING complex Trinity Walk has reported a record year.
Footfall across the centre reached record levels, with 11.2m visits throughout the year, up 4% on 2014.
It welcomed 289,000 shoppers a week throughout December, its busiest-ever festive period.
Part of managing agents Savills’ portfolio of shopping centres, Trinity Walk has also attracted some big name retailers, employing 1,500 across the centre.
Jewellery brand, PANDORA, was the first to open in early December 2015 in a 1,275 sq ft unit. The store has been proving very popular with customers and is still seeing high numbers on a daily basis.

The Works, the popular all-round stationery and bookstore, opened at a 2,387 sq ft unit.
Then followed PureGym giving members state of the art gym facilities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in a 23,621 sq ft space, ready for the busy New Year period.
Further to retail lettings, Regus is to add to its portfolio with its first office opening in Wakefield in a 7,320 sq ft office, making it their 20th centre in West Yorkshire.
Cormac Hamilton, centre manager at Trinity Walk, said: “The centre is now at its highest occupancy in its history with an even more diverse and dynamic mix of retailers on offer for shoppers, which has been a key draw. People are still discovering the centre and most new shoppers say they would return, which gives us scope to grow even further in our fifth year.
“We’re delighted with how well 2015 has gone, but won’t rest on our laurels as we aim to maintain and build on this great platform.”
