Law firm moves into Wellington Place home

LAW firm Squire Patton Boggs has made its long-awaited move to 6 Wellington Place, which officially opened last week.
The firm, which can trace its Yorkshire roots back 130 years has now moved in to 32,000 sq ft offices at the site, developed by MEPC.
200 staff from Squire Patton Boggs are taking up residence in the top two floors of the building.
John Alderton, managing partner of Squire Patton Boggs in Leeds, said: “We are delighted with our new office at 6 Wellington Place, which provides us with flexible, state-of-the art facilities; and a prestigious platform for the firm’s long term future in the city.”
“In the coming weeks we are looking forward to welcoming clients and business contacts to our new office, which will provide a fantastic working environment for us all.”
Adjacent to the historic Railway Lifting Tower, dating back to the 1850s, 6 Wellington Place is complete with a rooftop terrace and artwork from local artists Julia Poulton and Chris Wood.
The 104,000 sq ft building that is Squire Patton Boggs’ new home will also include tenants Sky Betting & Gaming and Equifax.
