Former antiques showroom sold after business ceases trading

A 10,700 SQ FT furniture showroom has been sold to specialist tilers.
The former Tomlinsons Furniture Group site in Wetherby has sold by Leeds commercial property firm Gent Visick, after it closed its doors in February.
The 40 year-old business had once been Britain’s biggest antiques dealer, according to the firm.
Stone Vale and Pure Adhesion, specialist suppliers of stone tiles and tiling products, have acquired the showroom to relocate from their existing premises in Pannal Harrogate.
Ray Tomlinson of Tomlinsons Furniture Group added to this “This building has been fantastic for me to run my business from over the past 5 years and I am delighted that we are able to sell it to another local company to aid their expansion.”
Richard Henley of Gent Visick commented “We are delighted with the result of this sale which sees a fantastic building in an excellent location transfer into the ownership of another local company. The sale reinforces the significant level of demand we are witnessing in the market for freehold buildings and the continued severe lack of available premises in the North Yorkshire region”.
Matthew Perry of Stone Vale commented “We are excited to have secured this new premises, and we look forward to relocating in the coming months. The move will also enable us to develop and expand the business further in the years to come.”
