Hat-trick of deals for historic mill

THREE deals have been completed at Sunny Bank Mills, the iconic mill complex between Leeds and Bradford.
Expanding Yorkshire companies Samplephonics, Children’s Corner Childcare and Sue Wilson Photography have all committed their future to the refurbished mills in Farsley, where YTV’s Emmerdale and Heartbeat were filmed.
Over the past five years Sunny Bank Mills has been transformed into a modern office, retail and community complex.
Samplephonics, an online music production platform is taking 615 sq ft of office space at 10 Mending Rooms; Children’s Childcare Corner is moving into 1 Sandsgate, taking 539 sq ft; and Sue Wilson Photography is expanding within the mills into the 650 sq ft 3 Old Combing.
William Gaunt, joint managing director of Edwin Woodhouse, the owners of Sunny Bank Mills, said: “These three deals are excellent examples of quality businesses being attracted to a quality business environment. The versatility and flexibility of space here is attracting an exciting breadth of occupiers.
“Specifically the decision by Samplephonics to expand, and Sue Wilson to relocate, within Sunny Bank Mills is a resounding endorsement of our development,” he added. “We now have over 70 companies on site, creating more than 300 sustainable jobs, and with space to double that, our ambition is to become the largest centre of employment in the area.”
