Lovsey expands operations with new employment law team

A FAMILY law firm in Birmingham is expanding its operations as a specialised niche practice with the addition of a new employment service.

Lovsey Marsh’s new department has been set up by employment solicitor Helen Moore, latterly a partner at Tayntons in Gloucester, and will focus on private client work.

She is joined by business development manager Clare Berrisford, who brings nine years of experience in marketing professional services.

Headed by Annette McKie, who has 30 years experience in family law, the practice based in Corporation Street will now concentrate on both family and employment law services.

She said: “We have a strong business ethos where we concentrate on people first.

“We are committed to delivering the highest standards of personal service by employing only highly experienced individuals.

“Smaller niche practices will become ever more important in the market place under legal services reforms next year, where specialists like ours can provide a greater contrast of personal service at more competitive rates.”

Ms Moore added: “The new Equality Act 2010 introduced last month simplifies discrimination and equality law, and makes it easier for employees to bring claims.

“Our primary aim is to provide a personal service, with funding arrangements which allow everyone to progress a claim with limited financial risk to themselves.”
