Leader of Commons supports East Mids Brexit campaign

In the first visit to the East Midlands from a senior minister since the EU referendum date was announced as June 23rd, the Leader of the House of Commons, Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP joined Vote Leave campaigners in Hinckley and Leicester on Saturday 27th February 2016 to show support for Britain’s exit from the European Union.
He said: “It’s been encouraging to see so many local volunteers in the East Midlands coming out to back the Vote Leave Campaign. It shows a real groundswell in grass roots levels support and reflects the growing sentiment within the region that people want to back control of our borders, economy and democracy and the only way to do that is to Vote Leave.’
Chris Grayling is one of a number senior Conservatives declaring their intention to campaign for a ‘Brexit’. His trip to Leicestershire was one of several stops across the Midlands including Birmingham on Saturday.
