Pensions consultancy expands into Leicester

Specialist pensions and ERA Service provider Clumber Consultancy has expanded into Leicester.

The East Midlands-based company, which provides its services to the UK insolvency market, has opened a new office at The Old Rectory in Glenfield.

The office will be led by Paul Milton and Lisa Scott, who joined the firm to further strengthen its Employment Rights Act (ERA) offering for insolvency practitioners in late 2019.

Managing director Darren Toms, who leads the team from Clumber’s Nottinghamshire headquarters, said: “Paul and Lisa both joined us in 2019 to help us to develop our ERA support services team. This is a very niche area that requires specialist advice and is a key part of Clumber’s growth. Even in the relatively short time that they have been with us we have been able to further boost our reputation within the ERA market and the opening of our new Leicester office is testimony to that.”

Milton has over 30 years’ experience in the sector, having begun his career at Pannell Kerr Forster before joining Stoy Hayward (now RSM UK) in 1990.

Scott began her career with BDO, working as the first point of contact for employees whose employers had gone into insolvency. She has 12 years’ experience in the role.

Milton said: “This is a proud moment for the ERA team and the wider Clumber family as it marks a significant moment for the business. Opening a new office was always something we had planned to do and Leicester was our preferred location due to our experience in the city and the local market opportunity but also due to its location which allows us to easily access our client base across the UK.

“Lisa and I look forward to establishing the Clumber Consultancy brand here in Leicester and to playing our part in taking the business to new heights in 2020 alongside Darren and the wider team in Nottinghamshire.”
