20,000 sq ft Derby venue reveals 2022 schedule

Derby’s biggest and newest venue, The Chocolate Factory on Sidals Road, has revealed its 2022 schedule – including craft beer festivals, rave bingo and vintage fairs.

The popular Bustler Market kicks off The Chocolate Factory’s event line up – on the last weekend of every month.

February sees the launch of Kid’s Rave On, a non-stop dance and arty party for little people, plus Boozy Brunch is back throughout the year for the grown-ups. Bingo Loco starts its first regular residency next month too, promising to bring a brilliant night of bingo, prizes, lip synch battles and DJs playing nineties and noughties bangers.

March brings a Vintage Fair – a mid-Century furniture and homeware market from the same people that brought last year’s KILO sale.

April boasts a line up including one of the region’s largest beer festivals, The Great Derbyshire Beer Festival, as well as a family market featuring small, independent brands and services, Mama Meet and Market. May promises a Sausage and Cider and Gin and Rum Festival, plus the KILO sale is set to make a reappearance.

Olivia Pritchard, managing director of The Chocolate Factory said: “We are so excited about our event programme for this year. We have got something to suit everyone from food and drink festivals, our regular monthly street food event – Bustler Market, vintage furniture and fashion, plus family entertainment and the pretty bonkers Bingo Loco.”

“We’ve also had an influx of bookings to hire the event space for private functions, corporate events and even weddings. With over 20,000 sqf t of flexible event space, the possibilities are endless to create bespoke events and the Chocolate Factory team love working with event organisers and promoters to put on nights which offer truly unique experiences for people. It’s been a tough old time recently and we’re really positive about the year ahead.”
