60 homes to be built following land deal

A land deal on the outskirts of Nottingham is set to bring forward 60 new homes.

The site, to the west of Coventry Lane in Bramcote, has been bought by one of Keepmoat Homes.

The sale comprises two separate parcels of land, with the proposed development of 60 homes located to the south, on approximately 4.5 acres. The remaining 13 acres, to the north, will be used as part of Biodiversity Net Gain requirements imposed by the Broxtowe Borough Council.

Ann Taylor, director in the Savills Development team in Nottingham who brokered the deal, said: “We are really pleased to have completed this sale, which will ensure the delivery of much needed housing that forms part of the Broxtowe Local Plan. The development is sensitive and in keeping with the surrounding environment, including an attractive central pond feature, generous newt corridor and enhanced green credentials.

Savills acted for the landowners, who were represented by Rob Wofinden of Browne Jacobson, while Sophie Bohill of Ward Hadaway represented Keepmoat Homes.
