New CEO for Nottinghamshire housing company

Charmaine Simei is set become the new CEO of Tuntum Housing Association, taking over from Richard Renwick MBE, who is retiring after nearly 30 years in the role.
Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Nottingham, Tuntum manages over 1,600 homes across 12 local authority areas in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, and Derbyshire.
Currently serving as the director of customer experience and communities at Longhurst Group, Simei holds over 25 years of experience in social housing and related fields, including 12 years in senior leadership positions.
Named professional of the year at the 2021 Women in Housing Awards, Charmaine Simei is a board member of Communities that Work, a group representing housing providers in helping residents find jobs.
She’s a past leader of the Centre of Excellence Community Investment East of England network and co-chair of HACT’s Racial Equality Group and also a mentor for the Housing Diversity Network.
Renwick said: “I am proud to hand over the leadership baton to Charmaine. Her many talents and record of achievement in initiatives promoting social justice and economic resilience are well established, alongside a capacity for team building. These are skills that will serve her and Tuntum well in the years ahead. I wish her every success in the role.”
