Inspired Villages gears up for the big stage

As the Hot Property countdown clock ticks towards zero, our final blog is with Emma Connelly, head of talent acquisition at Inspired Villages, who have sponsored the event since 2019.

Inspired Villages is a relatively new sponsor in the grand scheme of things – how did you first get involved?

We first became aware of Hot Property through our land manager, Max Kwan, who joined Inspired Villages in 2019 and is at the forefront of finding our village sites. He has been a long-time supporter and trustee of the event – as well as a talented drummer and one of its top musicians – and as soon as he brought it to our attention, it was clear it was something we could really get behind. We’ve grown from a small team starting out in 2017 to a significant employer in the region, and one of the top five best companies to work for in the East Midlands.

What benefits does supporting the event bring for you?

With nine operational villages and a further 25 in plan or under construction, we have significant growth ambitions and it’s a great chance to meet new contacts and speak to like-minded people who could potentially join us on our journey. It’s a challenging time for the industry at the moment, so we’re proud to be in the position as a business to bring forward these developments and continue to grow our team and connections. Hot Property plays a part in helping us do that.

What strikes you as the biggest selling point of Hot Property?

The Nottingham property community is vibrant and eclectic and Inspired are proud to be part of that. We are also hugely passionate about supporting the communities where we live and work, so the charitable factor is also a significant draw for us too and the Television Workshop does great work. Seeing how much people enjoy the event make it all the more worthwhile. It’s a fantastic night where our team get the chance to share the experience of the music and the atmosphere with friends and colleagues.

Finally, are there any acts you’re particularly looking forward to?

All of them but we can’t wait to see Max do his thing, he’s such a talented drummer as well as valued colleague! The standard is very high and we always have a great evening, meeting lots of people and having a thoroughly enjoyable time!

Inspired Villages was established in 2017 and is on course to significantly transform the later life experience in the UK with a commitment to expand its portfolio to 34 retirement villages, which equates to around 5,000 age-appropriate homes for 8,000 over 65s.

The sponsors for this year’s event include Pagabo and Pulse Consult as headline sponsors as well as Pick Everard, Shakespeare Martineau, Overbury, CPMG, Pick Everard, Samclo, Inspired Villages, Selcon, Chord Consult and Faithful+Gould. Joining these are: PR agency Cartwright Communications, design agency RizkMcCayTribe, and the event’s media partner The Business Desk.
