‘Healthy interest’ in planned NG2 expansion, says Miller Birch

The development director at Miller Birch has said his firm are in talks with potential occupiers after being given the go-ahead to build 210,000 sq ft of office buildings on the NG Business Park in Nottingham.
Yesterday, TheBusinessDesk.com exclusively revealed that Nottingham City Council had granted planning permission for a huge office complex, along with either a hotel, car showroom or restaurant.
Mark Bielby of Miller Birch says he’s had a “healthy” level of enquiries about moving on to NG2.
He said: “We are already in conversation with occupiers but can’t provide a definitive start on site date.

“With the opening of the tram extension we now have a stop within NG2. The town centre is just five minutes away and you can get the tram to the park and ride out towards Toton.
“Already the premier business location in Nottingham, the decision of the Council to grant planning permission for the extension of NG2 is now the icing on the cake. With a lack of supply of good quality offices with large floorplates you wont be surprised that we have a healthy level of interest from occupiers.”
Bielby says that rather than having to choose between a hotel, restaurant or car showroom – all three could come to NG2.
“We have purposely expanded the uses within the new outline consent,” he added.
“This is in response to interest that we have received from occupiers. It could be that all of these uses are attracted to NG2.”
