Sole trader launches Newark shoe shop
Victoria Tasker has realised her dream by openIng her very own shoe shop in Newark this week.
Tasker has opened Vix – a designer store selling shoes and accessories – in Middlegate.
Having worked at a range of clothing boutiques, Victoria has notched up many years’ experience in fashion retail.
She said: “I have always wanted to have my own shop. The unit in Middlegate, Newark came up for sale and I knew it was just the right place for Vix.”
Tasker will be recruiting three people to work at Vix. She and her husband Pete are currently renovating the unit – a former charity shop following significant investment.
“I want to bring designer name shoes to Newark,” she said. “It’s a town which already has a great offering in terms of boutiques and distinctive brands and designs. I am looking forward to Vix being very much part of that offering.
“The shop will attract customers from both Lincoln and Nottingham and surrounding towns and villages. I know that we will be able to offer our customers a great range of fantastic shoes and accessories.”
The range of designer shoe brands include Gabor, Vitti Love, Unisa, Kennel und Schmenger, Beatrice Furest and Petro Miralles. Tasker will also be selling a range of handbags and jewellery.
