On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Derby’s BB&J Commercial and Boxall Brown & Jones have announced four new appointments.
BB&J Commercial was established in 2010 as a standalone commercial property division of the residential agency Boxall Brown & Jones, which was founded in 1990.
Joining existing Partners Rob Jones, Mark Richardson and Chris Birds are Graham Bancroft and Chris Wright from BB&J Commercial, and Anthony Lomas and Jo Hutchinson from Boxall Brown & Jones.
Mark Richardson, partner, said of the appointments: “These promotions represent a significant landmark in both BB&J and Boxall Brown & Jones’ heritage and future growth strategy. Over recent years both brands have continued to expand despite a challenging backdrop and all four individuals have played a major role in contributing to this success. We are now the top agency in Derby city centre across both residential and commercial property, and plan to grow further as a major player within the East Midlands, gaining instructions across Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire in the future.
“As we continue to invest in people and assemble an award-winning team, whilst taking on an ever-growing list of new clients and projects, these strategic appointments will help provide the solid platform required for the next phase of our business development.”
Lincolnshire fresh and prepared food producer Freshtime UK has added two new faces to its procurement and planning departments.
Victoria Kay and Samantha Hardy
Victoria Kay and Samantha Hardy are the latest recruits to join the Boston-based firm.
Kay has been appointed as a product procurement manager.
“I’m looking forward to everything about the job, but I’m most excited about getting out and meeting the growers. I used to work for one of the country’s leading brassica growers but it’s great to now be part of the processing side,” said Kay.
“The prepared vegetable category is particularly exciting at the moment, so I’m really interested to see how it will evolve.”
Meanwhile, Samantha Hardy has joined the team as a production planner and will work to ensure orders are processed efficiently and stock levels are maintained accordingly.
Prior to joining Freshtime, Hardy had been working in planning for prepared food producer Bakkavor.
“My new role at Freshtime offers a lot of variety and I’m looking forward to seeing what I can achieve with the support of my team,” she said.
