American footwear retailer opens in Nottingham

American footwear retailer Skechers will be opening its first store in Nottingham this month.

The retailer has signed a 10-year lease on 872 sq ft of space on 12 Albert Street in the city centre.

Cushman & Wakefield acted for the landlord, David Sullivan Children’s Settlement, whilst Skechers represented itself. Other retailers on the parade include Pret a Manger, Hotel Chocolat and The Body Shop.

Doug Tweedie, associate in the Retail agency team at Cushman & Wakefield in Birmingham, said: “We are delighted to have secured Skechers their first Nottingham store. It’s a strong international brand which has growth in the UK firmly in its sights. The latest letting adds further quality to the existing tenant line up on Albert Street which includes Pret a Manger, Hotel Chocolat and Accessorize and we are very excited to see it open this month.”
